calling all artists

My mom is on the board of The Centers for Youth and Families, a local organization that provides a variety of behavioral health services and prevention programs for children and youth, ages two up to age 21. They serve more than 8,000 children and family members in Arkansas each year, including parents, runaway and homeless youth, foster children and parents, emotionally and behaviorally disturbed youth, impoverished youth, children of incarcerated parents, learning disabled youth and pregnant and parenting teens.

Nice services, eh? But as you know, good works like these don’t happen without financial support.

Every year they hold a huge fund raising auction and art competition. This year the number of artist submissions is not quite as high as they need it to be, so I’m hoping that a few of my painter, sculptor, photographer, artistically inclined readers might be interested in donating a piece to the auction. You don’t have to be local, just able to get to a post office to mail in your submission. The deadline is September 4th, so get the to the art room!!

Click here for more info on the process or here for a submission form.

Do it… you know you wanna.

After all, who doesn’t like a good tax deduction?

Thank you very much for posting this! The Splatters committee and the Centers are most appreciative of the artists who support our fundraiser thru their most generous donations.
