Ya’ll! We are moving! Not me and the fam, but me and the blog. Check out our new home. The comments are acting weird and the forwarding isn’t up to snuff yet, so I’ll be posting at both places for a little while. Bear with me as I work out the kinks.

In 2010, I only followed three blogs* that were dedicated to project 365. My real life friends at The Journey of A Thousand Miles & The Journey to Caleigh, and another adoption mama that I someday hope to meet at Love is Spoken Here.
I’m not sure if they are going to repeat the process again in 2011, but they better not stop posting all together!
Despite my epic FAIL last year I plan to give it a go, and I am thrilled to know that I’m not alone. In the spirit of accountability I am going to post a little list of the crazy folks below. Feel free to add yourself in the comments if you aren’t in my list. Once I know who is with me I’ll add a tab to the homepage.
Julie at And B Makes Three, who has a dude from VN and makes me want to plan a Disney trip
Diana at Mama in Pajamas, who owes me both a visit to AR and a margarita. Just sayin’.
Leigh at Leigh’s 365, who skated in under the wire with five minutes to spare on day one.
Kim at Life as a Family of Three, who has been on the adoption roller coaster too long and deserves a vacation
And You, at Your Blog. Right? Right? De-lurk people. Mama needs a list of reading material.
*I think I may have stepped on some toes. Ya’ll I’m a blog addict. My feed reader has 157 active feeds, and that is after I edited out over 100 that haven’t posted in over a year. I read WAY more than 3 blogs last year. I was just stating that only 3 were actively doing a daily post. Rest assured, if you are on the blogroll I still follow your rants. If you aren’t, by all means drop me a comment and I’ll make sure you are on the radar.
A year ago today I made a bold proclamation. I said that I was going to do a post, with a pic, every day for the whole year. Um… does making it through 29 days of May count? No? I didn’t think so either. That said, I like a challenge so I’m gonna give it a go again, but with a twist. The goal is to post something everyday. Given the crap that I tend to spew forth on Facebook and Twitter, I’m pretty sure that is a doable goal. Here is the twist… A little something I’m calling “52 from me to you”. Once a week I’m going to actually do a real post. It might not be terribly witty or thought provoking, but I’m committing to putting something up besides a simple two second photo upload. I am pulled too many directions to think that I can realistically come up with a coherent readable thought on a daily basis, but even I can make those brain cells fire up once a week.
So, with that said, let’s begin.
Um…. Is that kid giving me the bird or is he just pointing at the unfortunate chin situation? Either way, his parents should really teach him some manners.
Happy New Year! From me and my all my boyz.
Apparently the holiday excitement was too much for some of our family members. You know that saying about being so excited you could just burst? Well, if you are a stuffed dinosaur, it can really happen.
Poor Mr. Blue required emergency back surgery late last night as he had busted a seam and was spilling his fluffy white innards all over the wee man’s bed.
Though he was a little pensive about the lack of anesthesia…
…he managed to power through and stayed remarkably still for his sutures.
He didn’t care for the itchy bandages,
but all was forgiven once he was returned to his rightful spot in the bed.
It’s about time my minor in stuffed reptile surgical techniques came in handy.
Seems that the dude worked on a wish list at school today. I love that they cut out items from catalogs to put in their lists. Based on the items included I truly believe that Bex selected the things pictured. That said, it looks like my 4yr old wants an iPad. I do not look forward to his future tech requests if this is where they begin!
